ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability (European Secretariat GmbH)

ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability is a global network of more than 2,500 local and regional governments committed to sustainable urban development. ICLEI’s European Secretariat works closely with more than 160 city members in over 35 European countries to influence sustainability policy and drive local action for low emission, nature-based, equitable, resilient and circular development. Our members and team of experts collaborate through peer exchange, partnerships and capacity building to create systemic change for urban sustainability.

Role of the institution within ENLIGHTENme

ICLEI Europe supports efforts in defining lighting policies and guidelines by engaging its member cities in the Health and Urban Lighting Advisory Board, contributing to the development and dissemination of the Healthy Urban Lighting Good Practice Guidelines, and helping summarise the project’s main findings in Policy Briefs.

ICLEI will also support the communication and dissemination of the project results through its city network.
